Hello!  I'm Connor.  You can find me attending class and cruising down the streets on my longboard in the gorgeous Madison, Wisconsin.  This fall I’ll be entering my senior year at UW-Madison pursuing degrees in neurobiology and english.  I am a former division one baseball and football athlete and have been a health and fitness nut for as long as I can remember.  I also recently started my own health/fitness/diet/lifestyle blog, connorrollin.online.

Sometime circa sophomore year at UW, I found a magical concoction – a joint, a treadmill, and music.  The zone and focus I tapped into was different than anything I’ve ever experienced.  I felt the music and my body in a way I never had before.  Ever since I’ve loved to mix in pot with my fitness routine – whether it be running, yoga, etc.  It lets me throw on some good music and lock in with pinpoint focus – not to mention the recovery benefits.  I’m excited to be part of the mjfitnut team and look forward to sharing my passion with all of you!

After losing her father, her sister, and her mother to cancer, family inheritance battles, a high-stress job, and a husband suffering from a 10-year legal opioid addiction proved to be more than she could handle. With a nervous breakdown looming, Kristi took a leap of faith, and left it all… her job, her home, and her husband.

Fate and bad brakes landed Kristi in Denver. Chance landed her in the cannabis industry. Cannabis and perseverance would save her marriage and give Kristi and her husband, Gary, a new lease on life.

Responsible cannabis therapy successfully ended Gary’s opioid dependence without withdrawal, helped eliminate 10 other prescriptions, and lose 180 pounds together. Today, living in the mountains in the heart of hiking country just west of Pike Peak – Kristi and Gary are healthier and happier than ever. Kristi takes her passion for the plant and knowledge she has learned as a cannabis adviser to help de-stigmatize marijuana use and educate the masses about the amazing benefits of cannabinoid therapy.

Jessica Dickerson

My name is Jessica, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and I have been an athlete for 21 years. I began utilizing cannabis during the summer of 2010. The same summer I began training to play basketball at the collegiate level. Noticing the impact cannabis made on my body, while my body was being pushed to a whole new level athletically, began my research why the mix of cannabis and physical activity was correlated. Since then I have discovered that it helps with my motivation to go put my body through an intense workout as well as for muscle recovery.

In addition to cannabis being an added benefit physically, I also learned that cannabis helps your brain produce extra dopamine, which also helped improve my ADHD. School work began to come easier with the implementation of cannabis. After barely graduating high school, I recently graduated with honors.

Cannabis is still helping me physically and mentally. Currently, as mother of two young humans, getting to the gym is not always the easiest and neither is muscle recovery. My husband sees it as an added benefit to our partnership in all of our entrepreneurial ventures.

Jennifer Wood - That Fit Stoner

At 28 years old, the majority of my day was spent sitting at a desk scrolling through Facebook and Instagram. I was soft and indifferent. I saw a picture that said “In a year, you will wish you had started today”. I stared a few beats and let it sink in. I saved it and made it the background on my phone. And my fitness journey began.

I had been a pothead since I was a teen. I was not just a lazy one, but uneducated too. I spent a lot of years being apathetic about my health. I ate ALL the food and every ridiculous munchie you could think up. My choices led to a screwed up metabolism, a skewed body image and a few extra pounds. My low self-confidence caused me a moderate level of anxiety for 15 years before I thought about changing anything.

I knew genetically speaking that I would be fighting an uphill battle. Hereditary pre-dispositions made me a prime candidate for heart disease, high blood pressure and worse. I researched what I could change personally to have the best chance at a healthy life. I had watched doctors with pills fail continuously with family so I hunted for a more natural approach. I taught myself how to implement my cannabis intake into my fitness routine. My love of the plant became an essential tool in my transformation and training. I developed new habits to maintain balance in food and life. I recalibrated every

aspect of my diet and went fully plant based, focusing on whole foods. I am a work in progress but I continue to learn and evolve.

Now almost 2 years later, my main goal is to show that this journey can be made if you stick with it. YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FUTURE. The process isn’t always going to be pretty. Sometimes it will take all the resolve you have to keep moving forward. Listen to those who build you up and find the things that work for you.  Surround yourself with a community that encourages you and allows you to shine. Don’t let anyone tell you it can’t be done.  Surround yourself with positivity and tune out all the bullshit. YOU ARE A UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFUL CREATURE AND YOU ARE WORTH THE EFFORT. Start today so a year from now you can look back and see how far you’ve come

Leonora Norlingh

Whom am I? Mother to three beautiful boys, fitness addicted and a cannabis lover.

I became a mother at a very young age, I was just about to turn 19 when I had my first son. I have always been physically active since my childhood and I’ve always loved it, but it wasn’t until after my first pregnancy when I´d lost so much weight I was down at 42 kg that I discovered fitness and muscle building. I realized I can control my weight and the way I look with weights. The power of strength that you feel when you lift those weights and just wanting more, that got me addicted to fitness.

I quickly realized this is my passion and I wanted to work with this, so I decided to study.
In 2013 I got my license as a personal trainer, and group instructor, and have been working with that since then. Cannabis have been a big part of my life, and I have been using it for 15 years. I started to use it as a stress relief and for my anxiety. During these years I also got to know all the other benefits there is with this plant.

After my last pregnancy, I got the opportunity to truly compare my results with, and without cannabis, and I discovered cannabis helped me in many ways, including reaching my goals faster. I come from Sweden, where cannabis is illegal. Because of that, I haven’t been able to be a proud user without risking my kids. Since we moved to Spain where it is accepted, I can now be a proud user without any risks. I want everyone to know that cannabis and fitness can go well together with the right knowledge, and I have the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience.

Zane Decker

Hi! My name is Zane Decker. I'm 26 years old, tall white male, grew up in Westminster Colorado where I went to school and rode BMX bikes. I joined the Marine Corps at age 18 and became a helicopter mechanic stationed in Warner Robins, Georgia. By 21 I had a DUI and was being discharged other than honorably from the USMC for a pattern of misconduct and allegedly smoking Spice along with just being an overall nuance. So at that point in my life I felt like I had done something wrong, but all I really wanted to do was smoke weed. Although I hardly knew anything about weed, especially how to grow it! Yet, I knew weed was something I was deeply passionate about.  Then, as I began my transition out of the USMC I spent every free second I had reading books on how to grow weed and Google searched all the consequence of ingesting this amazing plant. I became infatuated with cannabis. I had always been curious but had never done the research before, but at this point in my life I just wanted to know if this plant was bad. Because, I felt like I did something wrong.  Getting kicked out of the Marine Corps was not an easy feeling to deal with and maybe I was really just a bad person. So I did what I thought was right and asked the internet, and read as much as I could to understand the dangers of marijuana.
What I found captivated my soul, you might say I became addicted but I never turned back. I found that this plant " marijuana" , scientifically, has no toxicity at all! Not only that, but it also has a wide range of physical and medicinal properties that humans can actually benefit from and anyone could produce on their own.
The catch is; it's illegal.
Why the government illegalized this wide spectrum plant was basically so smaller industries like petroleum based oil, cotton, timber, and all the medicine that the pharmaceutical industry took hold of would all gain dominance over the economics of the modern world we live in. The worst part is all the damage done through the propagation of misinformation. Which has left us in the tremoring wake of confusion about cannabis like PTSD victims that have been shellshocked by the war on drugs. Relying on ourselves to pick up the scattered reminisce of what is the truth and put this puzzle back together.

Researching and understanding cannabis has pieced back my everyday life as I surround myself in an environment that I want to live in. Synergistically it bridges the gap between the economic and political landscape of society through sustainability in gardening and the spiritually I find in cultivating my own well being. All in all this allows me to break through the confines of my own reality.

Being twenty six now, I feel like I know a lot. But, I know I don't know shit, and I really want to share what ideas and questions I have so far with everyone.
It is my purpose to communicate this message of our weed. It's history, what it is capable of and where it can take us in the future. Yet, when I talk to people and scour the internet for information regarding cannabis, I find that like minded people are already going down the same path exchanging ideas of their own that are simply congruent with mine.
It is enlightening to see this and to be who I am in this world.
Won't you too take this journey with me on the path to reclaim the truth behind cannabis? I'm down.
You can join me here every Tuesday for exciting stories, tips, and healthy ideas to live to the fullest with cannabis and the sweet sweet precious moments that we have in this flickering existence we call life! Get addicted to what is good.  "
