A.K.A. The Vegas 420 Runner
Deuvall Dorsey, who is also well known in the cannabis and athletics industry as The Vegas 420 Runner, is our January 2018 Athlete of the Month. Deuvall is one of the most active “stoners” there is. His resume of accomplishments as an athlete, an academic, and cannabis advocate is one to inspire us all. Below are just a few highlights of his current roles, former positions, and his many achievements.
As an athlete, Deuvall typically competes in endurance sports. He is a triathlete, ultra-marathoner, and trail runner. He is the former Team Manager of the Nevada State College Cross Country Team. Now he’s the Founder and Team Captain of the 420 Cross Country Team, which is the world’s first cross country team for cannabis advocacy. He planted another world’s first flag by introducing the very first cannabis and running podcast, Puff N Run. Plans for a web based reality series, Puff N Run TV, are already in the works. Deuvall has also competed in several of The 420 Games, as well as being a volunteer for them on the road.
As an academic he is heavily involved in at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As the former Student Body President at Nevada State College, Deuvall founded the Nevada State College Scorpion’s CAN, which is the very first student cannabis organization in Nevada History. On top of that, he is also a former student organizer for YES on 2 NV, was involved with the Students for Sensible Drug Policy as the Nevada Campus Coordinator, and even founded the UNLV SSDP. Deuvall is currently working towards his Master’s in in Journalism and Media Studies. He is also the Executive Director at UNLV Rebels CAN and the Producer Director at College Cannabis Podcast.
The above credentials are more than enough to declare Deuvall an advocate for cannabis, but it doesn’t stop at athletics and academia. Deuvall is the Producer and Director of Fahrenheit 42.0, which was featured in the 2017 Vegas Indie Film Fest and was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2017 Colorado International Activism Film Festival. Right now he is an organizer for the very first Colorado International Cannabis & Hemp Film Festival. He also organizes and helps manage the Budtender Fight Club, which hosts cannabis educational workshops for budtenders and dispensaries in Nevada. If that wasn’t enough to keep him busy, he’s also the Founder of Redefine Cannabis, where there mission is to redefining cannabis and the people who use it.
Clearly, Deuvall Dorsey goes above and beyond to promote cannabis as part of healthy and active lifestyle. He lives the life of a cannabis athlete, student, and entrepreneur. His dedication and tireless efforts towards changing the perception of cannabis to see it legalized worldwide is to be admired. The time Deuvall has put into being a cannabis athlete and advocate deserves to be recognized, and we at MJFITNUT want to personally thank him for all of his hard work. He has made a significant impact directly in Nevada by getting involved locally, and by promoting positive cannabis content around the world online. We encourage each and every you to follow and support him in his efforts!
